Mowich Lake at Mount Rainier

An 18 mile drive from Carbon Country's Shady Rest along a gravel road brings guest to Mowich Lake. The beautiful clear lake is the largest lake in Mount Rainier National Park and boasts the trail head to Spray Falls, Spray Park and The Tholmie Peak Fire lookout. Many of our guests have enjoyed sights, scenes and sounds along these 4 mile round trip hikes. Mowich Lake is also home to "food drops" for the numerous people exploring the 90 mile Wonderland Trail.
